WELCOME:
Now
close your eyes, and imagine just for a second. You step out of your vehicle to meet
your guide. From where you are
you see the river before you, flowing along. Osprey, geese, and ducks fly
overhead. Before you can say
anything you notice a splash just below you in the water. Not sure what it is, you turn your
attention to your guide and introductions are made. As he is explaining the plan for the
day, you notice another splash and then another. You realize those splashes are your
target for the day, hungry rainbow trout greeting you with open
mouths.
The
boat is launched and you slowly float down the river to your guide’s
favorite spot. You step into
the river and wade to a quiet riffle.
Your guide spots a rising fish, and says to cast. You launch a beautiful cast to the
riffle, just like you practiced.
The highly visible fly lands on the surface just behind a small
boulder. Immediately a fish
rises out of nowhere and inhales your fly. You set the hook and begin fighting
the fish. A few minutes
later you are rewarded with your first fish of the day. Photos are taken, hands are shaken,
and the process is repeated several more times throughout the day. Now open your eyes. It doesn’t have to be your
imagination. Let us put you in
